Terms & Conditions for Parents/Carers

These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all parents, carers, and babies attending classes. Baby massage classes are based on the principles of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) programme and are designed to support bonding, communication, relaxation, and confidence in caring for your baby. Classes are educational in nature and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

By booking and attending classes, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Booking and Payment
  • Full payment is required in advance to secure your place on the course
  • Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Payment details will be provided at the time of booking.
  • Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
  1. Cancellations & Refunds

         Parent Cancellation

  • If you cancel more than 7 days before the course start date, a full refund will be offered.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date will not be refundable.
  • Missed classes are non-refundable. Where possible, class notes or handouts may be provided for missed sessions.

         Instructor Cancellation

  • If the instructor needs to cancel a class due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered where possible.
  • If a replacement class cannot be arranged, a refund for the cancelled session will be provided.
  1. Baby’s Health & Wellbeing
  • Please do not attend class if you or your baby are unwell, have a fever, sickness, diarrhoea, or any contagious illness. They must be symptom-free for at least two full days before attending.
  • Massage should not be carried out within 24 hours of immunisations.
  • Parents /carers should inform the instructor of any medical conditions, allergies or other health concerns before classes begin.
  1. Safety during classes
  • Parents/carers are fully responsible for the supervision and safety of their baby at all times.
  • Please ensure your baby is never left unattended.
  • Classes take place in a home environment, and reasonable care is taken to provide a clean and safe space. All toys, and equipment are cleaned and checked before each session
  • Any massage oils used during class will be discussed beforehand regarding allergies or sensitivities.
  1. Feeding, crying & Baby-Led Classes
  • IAIM classes are baby-led, and babies may be fed, cuddled, changed, soothed, or allowed to sleep whenever needed.
  • Parents/ carers are encouraged to respond to their baby’s needs at all times.
  • Crying is completely normal and welcomed without judgement.
  1. Siblings & Additional Guests
  • Due to limited space and the calm environment needed for classes, siblings and additional guests may only attend with prior agreement.
  1. Confidentiality & Respect
  • Parents/carers are asked to respect the privacy of other families attending the course
  • A supportive, non-judgemental environment is expected at all times
  1. Photography & Social Media
  • Parents/carers may take photographs of their own baby only.
  • No photographs or videos of other parents, babies, or attendees may be shared on social media without explicit permission.
  • The instructor sometimes takes photos and short video clips during class for use on website or social media channels. The instructor will always request consent before taking or sharing any promotional photographs.
  1. Liability
  • The instructor is fully insured and trained in IAIM baby massage instruction.
  • Parents accept responsibility for their own and their baby’s wellbeing during sessions.
  • The instructor cannot accept liability for injury, loss, damage, or accidents except where caused by proven negligence.
  1. Data Protection & Privacy
  • Personal information provided during booking will only be used for class administration and communication.
  • Your details will not be shared with third parties without consent.
  • Any information shared regarding your baby or family will be treated confidentially.
  • All data is handled in line with UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and stored securely.
  1. Respectful Environment
  • All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and help maintain a calm, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.
  1. Agreement

By booking and attending IAIM baby massage classes, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these terms and conditions.
  • The information you provided is accurate.
  • You understand that your baby remains your responsibility throughout the classes.
